About the role:
We have a permanent opportunity for a Senior BI Engineering Analyst to join our highly motivated Data & Analytics team. In this role you will be accountable for the analysis, design, implementation, validation and delivery of enterprise-grade data products using a variety of modern Business Intelligence and Big data platforms. Your proficiency in design thinking and data storytelling will play a pivotal role in empowering the business to make effective and efficient data-driven decisions.

Key Skills & experience:
There are a few things that we’ll look for in your CV;
- Degree qualified in IT or relevant discipline.
- Strong Stakeholder Management skills along with the ability to demonstrate a high degree of analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills and transcribing them into technical requirements.
- Strong experience building /managing enterprise grade data products in AWS or SAP or Azure or similar landscapes.
- Considerable experience with UX best practices, design, development and testing of interactive dashboards and reports built using Power BI or similar tools.
- Substantial experience using databases, data warehouses, and developing data transformation processes that produce data models (e.g. Star/Snowflake schema, OLAP) for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Relevant experience with Agile practices and using modern integrated development environments (IDE’s), collaboration platforms and Git-based software version control systems.
What the role will involve
- Leading innovation through exploration, benchmarking, making recommendations and implementing modern Business Intelligence technologies.
- Building/Managing production-grade data pipelines (ETL or ELT), data models, datamarts and visualisations using on-premise and cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Liaising with stakeholders to understand their needs and formulating questions or technical business requirements reflective of stakeholder needs.
- Developing standards and procedures for implementing modern analytics solutions.
- Monitoring conformance and ensuring data products meet appropriate quality standards.
- Providing coaching and mentoring to team members and federated analytics teams.
- Recommending data and analytics platform, application and/or infrastructure improvements based on end user interaction, process performance, system capability and engineering productivity and experience.
