As a Registrar, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical services to patients across diverse medical needs.

Position: Registrar- GP/ Medical/ Surgical

Location: Western Australia

Your responsibilities will include:

Responsible for the clinical care of patients under the supervision of senior medical staff including:

  • Participating in daily ward rounds and attending to patients in order of medical urgency.
  • Taking a full history and medical examination of new admissions and arranging appropriate investigations and assisting with medical procedures as required.
  • Managing medical conditions according to acceptable clinical standards under supervision of senior registrars and consultants.
  • Collaborating with other medical, nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members to facilitate patient management.
  • Communicating with family, outside medical practitioners, and/or community services concerning patient management.
  • Document clinical notes throughout each episode of patient care and at the time of discharge to meet medical record standards, including completion of Discharge summaries.

Qualifications:

  • AHPRA registration.
  • Demonstrated clinical and procedural experience.
  • Demonstrated well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical governance within health care.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal Cultural respect framework.
