In this position you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive clinical service to Obstetrics and Gynaecology patients across Western Australia. Position: Consultant- Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Location: Western Australia

Role Highlights:

  • Responsible for specialist clinical care of Obstetric and Gynaecological patients.
  • Manages Obstetric/Gynaecological conditions according to acceptable clinical standards.
  • Collaborates with Maternity Ward Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nursing staff to facilitate patient management. Liaises with patients, family, community services and other representatives as required to facilitate patient management.
  • Liaises with other senior medical staff, allied health staff and with hospital managers to facilitate a high standard of patient care.
  • Negotiates with patient transport providers such as the Royal Flying Doctor Service and St John Ambulance to facilitate transfer of patients for tertiary care.
  • Contribute to a holistic approach to healthcare, ensuring patients receive timely attention and appropriate treatment.

Qualifications:

  • AHPRA registration.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in specialist practice as an Obstetrician/Gynaecologist.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member.
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the Aboriginal Cultural Respect Framework
