About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate professional to join our Training Team on a casual basis. This role is responsible for the delivery of premium workplace health and safety training services to Victorian Chamber members and clients. As well as training delivery, this position will help to design and refine products and services including full range of Health Safety and Wellbeing development courses.   

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee health, safety, and wellbeing training programs and initiatives for our members and clients.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective health, safety, and wellbeing training programs.
  • Assist in the development of training materials, including presentations, manuals, and interactive activities, under the guidance of experienced Trainers/Facilitators.
  • Coordinate training schedules, logistics, and participant registrations for health, safety, and wellbeing programs.
  • Conduct research to gather relevant information and resources for training programs.
  • Collaborate with the training team to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the coordination of health, safety, and wellbeing audits, inspections, and incident investigations as required.
  • Opportunity to shadow experienced Trainers/Facilitators delivering training sessions and continuously enhance knowledge and skills in training and facilitation. 


Key Selection Criteria

  • Minimum diploma level qualification plus minimum five years work experience in WHS or a related area
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide professional and engaging training services.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) is highly desirable (candidates without this are encouraged to apply but will be required to complete this to deliver some of our WorkSafe and accredited courses)
  • Industry experience in Construction, Manufacturing, Warehouse and Logistics and Allied Health, with demonstrated consulting experience.
  • Mental Health First Aid facilitator accreditation
  • Commercially minded with an ability to recognise, develop and convert new training and consulting opportunities;
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex and specialised issues and communicate them in a user-friendly manner;
  • Broad knowledge of WHS and Workers’ Compensation legislation;
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills;
  • Excellent customer service skills.
