Your brief
As the Aftersales Development Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aftersales activities and driving profitability through effective management of service and parts operations.
You will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to develop and implement strategies that enhance the customer experience and boost parts, accessory sales and increased efficiencies through the workshop. Key responsibilities include designing and executing aftersales programs, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with Volvo Cars standards. You will also lead Aftersales projects for program and initiative implementation.
This role demands a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, a deep understanding of automotive aftersales processes and an inherent commitment to delivering high-quality service.
What to expect
- Partner with Retailers, trade and suppliers to create value add programs to drive revenue and customer satisfaction
- Participate in development of market strategies to achieve Retail & Wholesale objectives
- Manage aftersales communications through bulletins and digital format
- Participate in planning and delivery of vehicle launch events
- Analyse Aftersales data to support and identify growth opportunities
- Partner with peers across Volvo Car Australia to achieve our strategic objectives, driving revenue and new business opportunities including but not limited to: Marketing for assets and campaigns, Network Development, Sales and Selekt, VCA technical team and Business Control.
- Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, facilitating communication and collaboration to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Identify potential risks and issues, implementing strategies to mitigate them while ensuring project continuity.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on progress, challenges, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Accurate and regular reporting of business performance to VCA Management
- Timely management of all financial payments and commitments
- Ensure all role related reporting and administration is completed on time and accurately
- Operate with a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies and improvements across role and team
You and your skills
- 5 years + relevant experience in Retail, Trade or Wholesale Automotive Aftersales environment
- Proven record in achieving business objectives
- Strong project management skills
- Strong communication across a variety of audiences - written, verbal and presentation
- Strong negotiation skills across all levels
- High level of business acumen, including interpreting financial reporting
- Self-starter who is adaptable and resilient and can thrive in uncertain and changing environments
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Ability to coach, give feedback and tackle challenging topics to achieve a positive outcome
- Continuous improvement mindset, ability to challenge and implement process improvement initiatives
- Intermediate computer skills with the Microsoft Office suite.
