About the role:

As Payroll Specialist, you will work as part of a small supportive team located across Australian and New Zealand. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process for our Australian companies across multiple pay groups, using multiple payroll software’s. In this role, you will also work closely with the HR Team and our business units, to receive and update employment documentation for payroll processing. Some of your other key responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage end to end payroll process for Australian companies, ensuring payroll files are accurate, and robust records are maintained on a secure network.
  • Own payroll processes, including timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees. Establish and maintain robust protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll-related legislations – e.g Aus Fair work and relevant Awards and collective agreements
  • Contribute to the functioning of a high performing team through providing back up and support to colleagues, collaborating and sharing knowledge and promoting active professional development
  • Ensure all inquiries are handled efficiently and resolved within a timely manner while always delivering a high quality of service.

This role is fully WFH, with options to work out of any of our campuses. We are open to candidates based anywhere on the east coast, with a preference for someone based in Brisbane. 

 

About you:

  • Ideally 7 – 10 years end-to-end/sole charge payroll experience
  • Strong experience in an Australian payroll position and have a good understanding of the Australian payroll environment (awards, employment legislation, long service leave, termination pay etc.)
  • Experienced working within a fast paced, growth environment. 
  • Proven experience in interpreting and applying the industrial instruments.
  • Experience with Employment Hero is a bonus!
  • Excellent written and oral communication with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of financial and non-financial stakeholders
