About the Role 

We have two Foundation Studies Certificate programmes, aimed at international students who studying for University Entrance at AUT University or Victoria University of Wellington. This role is based at our Auckland campus, and is across both programmes.

About you 

We are looking for a full time, permanent teacher who can teach a variety of subjects, providing a caring, safe, and stimulating environment, with high academic expectations, excellent classroom management skills, and with an understanding of supporting English language learners.  

The role would have a varied portfolio across the social sciences – for example, our termly courses include Pre-foundation Study Skills, Tertiary Study Skills, New Zealand Culture and Society, English for Academic Purposes, Media Studies and New Zealand History. 

You’ll also have an interest teaching in a variety of contexts, and enjoy teaching with video technology:

• Some classes will be entirely face to face on campus in Auckland.
• Some classes will have students on campus in Auckland and also online from Wellington.
• Some classes could be entirely online from Wellington, while you are in Auckland.

Current teacher registration in New Zealand is essential. The secondary salary scale will apply.
