The Coordinator, Researcher Development and Training will leverage their specialist learning and development experience, along with their project management skills, to oversee the creation and coordination of a comprehensive researcher training program. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth implementation of training initiatives designed to enhance the skills and capabilities of our researchers.
You will be predominantly based at the NIER Precinct (Callaghan Campus) but will require working from other University campuses including Newcastle City, Ourimbah, Gosford and Sydney, from time to time.
In this role you will:
- Coordinate and implement strategic project activities that focus on capability building for our researchers
- Develop best practice research management, communication and leadership skills that contribute to building a responsible research culture.
- Collaborate with experts from across our University and develop relationships with key sector external experts.
This fixed-term position is full time and will be located at the NIER Precinct (Callaghan Campus) (Awabakal land).
How will you inspire us?
You will have:
- Experience in a learning and development role and the ability to design and deliver a capability and capacity building program with development and training activities, ideally for researchers in the Higher Education sector.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of current best-practice in Design Thinking and Whole Brain Thinking methodologies and techniques and a strong understanding of Researcher Learning and Development and its key players and roles.
- Strong project management and organisational skills along with highly effective communication and interpersonal skills

The remuneration for this position is from $103,641 to $116,596 plus 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
