As Student Recruitment and Outreach Officer, you will be responsible for implementing student recruitment and engagement initiatives to promote University of Newcastle programs and influence student application outcomes.
In this role you will:
- Support the delivery of student recruitment events and activities aimed at meeting enrolment targets, including career markets and high school campus visits.
- Use statistics and market intelligence to track and assess the effectiveness of marketing and engagement activities.
- Represent the University of Newcastle at off-campus events like career markets, as well as on-campus activities such as campus tours.
This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

- An understanding of the Higher Education student admissions process.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to build effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and potential future students.
- Enthusiasm and confidence in presenting to and engaging with prospective students..
- Ability to accurately capture data and provide insights to relevant stakeholders.
What we offer
The remuneration for this position is from $77,858 to $90,316 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

- Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of an associate diploma and at least 2 years’ relevant experience; or completion of a post-trades certificate or advanced certificate and extensive relevant experience in student recruitment; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to participate in a team environment and collaborate within and across teams.
- Highly developed communication skills, including experience in providing advice to diverse stakeholders, create engaging presentations and reviewing content for print and electronic publications.
- An understanding of the Australian tertiary education sector and the NSW education system along with tertiary admission processes.
