As a Professional Experience Support Officer, you will provide administrative support to students, staff, and placement providers in relation to professional experience placements and Career-ready Placement activities. You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and mutually beneficial placement process for both students and providers.

In this role you will:

  • Plan and process placements across disciplines based on the program curriculum and the relevant placement calendar.
  • Nurture professional relationships with staff and industry partners.
  • Liaise with placement providers and resolve issues relating to student placements.
  • Relay important information and provide advice to students on placement requirements.

This fixed term position is until December 2024, is full time, and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

What we offer

The remuneration for this position is from $77,858 to $90,316 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

  1. Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of an associate diploma and at least 2 years subsequent relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  2. High-level organisational skills and demonstrated attention to detail, including the ability to organise workflows to meet competing demands and ability to be adaptable with changing expectations and requirements.
  3. Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to participate in a team environment, demonstrating clear communication and mutual respect.
  4. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated high-level computer literacy, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite and corporate software systems such as SONIA, UON Timetable, Canvas, TRIM and NUSTAR.
  6. Knowledge of, and experience in adhering to workplace policies and procedures in the areas of work health safety, equity, diversity and promoting a respectful workplace culture.
