Are you a records management expert with a passion for innovation and collaboration? We are seeking a Senior Records Governance Advisor to lead the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the University’s records and information management system

About the Role

Working under broad direction, you will support the rollout, implementation, and management of systems and processes to achieve effective records and information management across the University. You will provide subject matter expertise, ensuring continuous improvement in records management through:

  • Configuration, system administration, and advanced knowledge of document and records management systems
  • Developing and delivering records management training for stakeholders.
  • Supporting the implementation of the University’s records management program.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, promoting best practices in records management
  • Collaborating with business owners to ensure the University’s systems align with records and information management requirements.
  • Fostering a collaborative and constructive team environment, cooperating and gaining trust and commitment from colleagues across the University.

This continuing position is full time at a HEW 7 Higher Education Level located at Callaghan Campus.

About the Unit  

Records Governance Services (RGS), Governance and Assurance Services forms part of the Vice Chancellor’s Division. RGS is responsible for the oversight and implementation of the University’s records management program, including retention and destruction of University records, recordkeeping training, assessing recordkeeping functionality of new and existing recordkeeping, and administration of Content Manager (TRIM).

  1. Expertise in contemporary recordkeeping practices, with relevant qualifications and experience.

  4. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  5. Experience in recordkeeping within the Higher Education Sector or the NSW public sector.
  6. A solutions-focused approach with the ability to handle highly sensitive records and information.
  7. Skills in leadership and demonstrated effective management of workplace relationships
  8. Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

DESIRABLE

1.     Completion of RIMPA accredited courses in records and information management.
