We are seeking a dynamic and organized Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative and executive support to the Director and Senior Manager of our Department of Rural Health. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the department and contributing to the development of future health professionals.

Your responsibilities will comprise of providing:

  • Executive Support
  • Meeting Coordination
  • Stakeholder Liaison
  • Information Management
  • Confidentiality and Discretion
  • HR Support
  • Internal Communication

This fixed term position is full time at a HEW 5 Higher Education Level until December 2026 located at our Tamworth Education Centre.

About the Unit  

The University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health (UONDRH) delivers a number of programs aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of regional, rural and Indigenous communities within the New England, Northwest Slopes and Plains and areas of the Hunter Valley and New England Rivers regions. It has made it possible for undergraduate and postgraduate students studying medicine, nursing and allied health disciplines at the University of Newcastle to complete a large part of their education and training in a rural setting at one of 7 locations – Tamworth, Armidale, Taree, Moree, Inverell, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour.
