Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact? As an HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in shaping the people strategy within an allocated portfolio, supporting leaders and teams to achieve their goals in alignment with the University's strategic direction.
The Role
As a trusted advisor, you will provide high-level HR consultancy services to senior leaders, managers, and key stakeholders across the University. You will work collaboratively with teams across Human Resource Services (HRS) and partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Organisational Development, and Workplace Relations to deliver strategic HR solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to implement contemporary HR strategies that drive organisational success.
- Provide expert advice on performance management, workforce planning, talent development, conflict resolution, and employee engagement.
- Coach and mentor managers to enhance leadership capability and foster a high-performing workforce.
- Support strategic planning by leveraging HR analytics and benchmarking to inform workforce decisions.
- Contribute to organisational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with best-practice change management.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures align with enterprise agreements, legislation, and best practice principles.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner in a complex organisation.
- Strong capability in partnering with business leaders to develop and implement strategic people solutions.
- Advanced communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Experience supporting large-scale HR projects and leading initiatives that enhance workforce capability.
- A positive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to navigate challenges with confidence.
This continuing position is full time at a HEW 8 Higher Education Level located at Callaghan Campus.

- Capability to coach and mentor senior managers and other key staff across the organisation.
