As the Senior Manager, Academic Governance and Compliance, you will oversee and shape the processes that ensure our University's academic governance and compliance align with the Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF) and the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act.

You will bring a strategic eye to policy, procedure, and data integrity while guiding key governance committees and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and manage academic governance and compliance at both a strategic and operational level, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and effective planning.
  • Provide high-level advice and support to ensure effective, customer-focused academic administration.
  • Navigate competing perspectives, unite stakeholders, and drive decisions through clear and efficient processes.

This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

You will have:

  • Strong understanding of the Higher Education landscape and academic governance.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, especially in driving cultural change within teams.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with the ability to balance diverse viewpoints and reach sound decisions.
  • A strategic mindset, combined with the ability to translate high-level governance requirements into practical, everyday actions.

 

What we offer

The remuneration for this position is from $130,798 to $140,139 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
