As Quality Officer, you will play a key role in developing and overseeing quality assurance processes across Infrastructure and Facilities Services (IFS). Focused on standardisation and compliance, the role supports improved operational efficiency and alignment with the university’s strategic objectives.
This is a newly created role with real opportunity to shape quality practices and make a lasting impact across the division.
In this role you will:
- Lead the development, implementation, and governance of quality assurance processes across IFS.
- Analyse, audit, and review existing procedures and documentation, identifying gaps and refining processes to meet compliance and university standards.
- Monitor and evaluate quality performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal land).
How will you inspire us?
You will have:
- Proven experience in a quality, compliance, or audit-focused role within a large and complex organisation.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, legal requirements, and standards related to Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001, as well as records management practices.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and interpret policy, process, and legislation.

The remuneration for this position is from $103,641 to $116,596 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

- Relevant experience in Quality Auditing, Business Management or previous experience in Quality coordination within large and complex organisations.
- Experience with developing and managing projects related to quality improvement, audits and process optimization.
- Strong analytical abilities, and proven ability to analyse data, evaluate information and identify efficiencies with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to train employees in quality standards, quality management processes and best practice. Able to develop and maintain training materials.
