The role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Officer to join our Office of the Vice-Chancellor (OVC). This pivotal role involves close collaboration with the Chief of Staff to the Vice-Chancellor and Executive Officer to deliver high-quality correspondence, communications, and briefings, as well as to develop and implement OVC projects and engagement initiatives.

As the ideal candidate you will:
Possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders. You will have experience in stakeholder management, event coordination, and administrative support within a complex organisational environment. Attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and strong organisational skills are key to your success, as is a can-do attitude and collaborative approach
This continuing position is full time at a HEW 6 Higher Education Level located at Callaghan Campus.

The Office of the Vice-Chancellor plays a central role in the strategic and operational management of the organisation, and in the University’s public advocacy and regional engagement. The position of Project Officer makes a key contribution to the University of Newcastle, providing high quality project support and working as part of a high performance team.
