We’re investing in organisational capability to meet the complex and evolving needs of our trans-Tasman business - starting with the right person to design, drive, and champion this agenda as our new Group Capability Manager.
This is a strategic business priority directed from our CEO & ELT, not just an HR initiative. In this newly created, greenfield role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape our approach to capability from the ground up. Partnering with the Leadership Team and People & Transformation Director, you’ll deliver a long-term capability strategy alongside actionable programs to strengthen leadership and capability across UCC Coffee ANZ.
Your focus
This isn’t about maintaining the status quo - it’s about shaping it. You’ll be joining a small, high-impact People & Transformation team working across Australia and New Zealand, where you’ll operate as the expert in your field. You’ll have the freedom and responsibility to define, build, and embed capability strategies that drive real, lasting impact.
Alongside leading the capability program, you’ll also drive key ANZ people cycle activities, including Performance (Objectives and Reviews), Rem and Incentives, and Engagement. Your expertise will be critical in shaping how we think about capability - providing strategic guidance while delivering practical solutions that embed best practices across the business.
As the go-to advisor on capability development, you’ll guide not only business leaders but also our People & Culture Business Partners, influencing how we approach leadership and development. This is a greenfield role where you’ll have the autonomy to create and execute a framework that strengthens capability at every level of the business.
What’s on the horizon:
- Lead the design and delivery of capability plans focused on leadership development and broader capability building.
- Identify gaps and embed scalable learning solutions that drive lasting change.
- Co-create change and capability initiatives with the People and Transformation team in line with business needs.
- Lead our annual people processes, driving continuous improvement.
- Oversee the People Tech project to strengthen digital capability for the People & Transformation Team and business leaders.
Your profile
You’re a recognised expert in capability development, with senior HR experience and a strong background in L&D or OD. You’re comfortable working independently and confident in your ability to shape strategy and deliver outcomes in an autonomous environment.
Your ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders sets you apart. You know how to navigate ambiguity, make bold decisions, and implement practical solutions that have a lasting impact. This isn’t about following a roadmap - it’s about creating one. You’ll be trusted to define the strategy and execution, guiding business leaders and P&C partners alike in embedding best practices and strengthening capability across the business.
