Are you a finance professional looking for your next big opportunity? Are you someone who can balance technical accounting skills with strategic thinking?

This is a new role within our business, ideal for a strategic thinker who can question the 'why and why not' and propose and implement innovative solutions to across our UCC ANZ group.

Your focus:

  • Own the end-to-end financial accounting operations across our Australian and New Zealand businesses, ensuring timely and accurate financial information.
  • Develop and implement financial accounting processes and initiatives, solving new issues as they arise, and challenging existing processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly head office and shareholder reporting requirements, cost centre reporting, and cash flow management.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage cost centre financial performance, providing insights and guidance on financial matters.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements and oversee the preparation of technical accounting position papers.
  • Manage the preparation of group reporting for the Financial Controller, who will present this in board meetings.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Your profile:

Are you someone who can balance technical accounting skills with strategic thinking? Do you have a proven record in financial accounting, process improvement, and team leadership? Are you skilled at developing and implementing financial accounting processes, managing cost centre reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards? If so, you’ll be known for your analytical skills and ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. Your collaborative approach, adaptability, and resilience will enable you to thrive in our dynamic environment, driving both compliance and efficiency.

Your background:

  • CPA/CA qualification with a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and taxation regulation.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in people management.

Our process:

We screen our applicants as we receive them. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by our recruitment team and any interviews will be held in person at our North Strathfield office with our Financial Controller and Finance and IT Director. Psychometric testing is conducted for critical roles such as this, and referencing comes at the end for preferred candidates only.
