The Project Manager II is responsible for leading projects independently or under the guidance of the Program Manager in the management of the commercial, schedule, and technical execution of aircraft retrofit programs, including engineering, certification, operations, and supplier coordination elements of a program.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The Project Manager II responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ambassador of the company to the customer and suppliers.
  • Independently or under the guidance of the Program Manager lead customer and supplier meetings / telecoms including taking technical meeting minutes, including leading milestone meetings.
  • Ability to independently chair recurring Supplier meetings and communicate program and certification requirements.
  • Represent the company in on-site supplier resolution issues.
  • Responsible for the creation and updating of program tools including:
  • Statement of Work, Roles and responsibilities matrices
  • Action Item Register
  • Risk Management Matrix
  • Supplier Data Requirements Lists
  • BFE/CSE lists
  • Project Status Reports
  • Budget vs. actuals & cash flow matrices
  • Internal Project Schedules and Resource Planning
  • Manage comprehensive integrated program schedules incorporating multiple supplier inputs using MS Project.
  • Coordinate with program suppliers' to facilitate design, substantiation, certification and product delivery to meet program requirements, including the following:
  • Collect supplier data required to support the design phase of the program.
  • Follow-up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of data.
  • Monitor the timely completion of design and certification data workflow.
  • Manage projects independently in support of the overall program scope.
  • Ensure timely procurement and manufacturing of NAT's modification kits.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations and marketing personnel to assist in the development of proposals and statement of work updates.
  • Responsible for the continued management of sustaining programs (post prototype).
  • Work with program team to coordinate on-site support and AOG requirements.
  • Monitor program performance to schedule and budgets in support of overall program.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Understand and promote all health, safety and environmental legal and regulatory requirements including company policies and standards. Lead by example, enforce and sustain a strong-minded safety culture and compliance driven practices in the work environment.

Knowledge/Experience

  • BA or BS preferred and/or a minimum 2-3 years of aerospace program management experience.
  • Aircraft certification processes.


Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication and organization skills required.
  • Ability to understand the “big picture” and recognize potential areas of risk.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead others.
  • Advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project skills required.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.


Salary: $92,420 - $102,690 based on experience
