Your opportunity:
As our valued Senior Network Engineer (Optical Transmission) you will play a vital role in implementing and executing project-based solution architectures, to meet business demand. You’ll draw on your deep understanding of Transmission Network Architectures and Environments, and your expertise in DWDM, OTN, MPLS-TP, and Ethernet technologies to generate high-level and detailed designs, and provide operational support for complex fault investigations.
You'll make impact by:
- Generating high-level and detailed designs for multiple systems, ensuring they are prepared in accordance with high-level and/or functional design documents.
- Producing timely and quality documentation (scope, detailed designs, MoPs, TOLs, and other engineering documents for multiple systems).
- Providing support to delivery teams to allow for project delivery according to plan.
- Leading and performing trials and lab tests to validate technology solutions.
- Interacting with pre-sales and other team members to understand project requirements from various stakeholders and liaising with vendors to provide technical solutions.
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Optical Tx domain.
- Detailed knowledge of DWDM, OTN, MPLS-TP and ethernet technologies.
- Experience in design and deployment of large scale DWDM and OTN carrier networks supporting Mobile & fixed services
- Deep understanding of Transmission network architectures and environments.
Ideally, you will also have:
- Any Network certification – CCNA equivalent is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to develop strong relationships with key internal and external stake holders across different domains.
- Hands on experience in provisioning circuits on NMS platforms.
- Scripting and programming skills in Python or similar.
