TPG Telecom has recently announced the sale of its fibre network infrastructure assets and enterprise, government and wholesale fixed business. Over the coming months we will undertake detailed separation and transition planning to prepare for this exciting transaction and ensure our teams and customers are supported through this process.

For this we will require Corporate Counsels to provide essential legal guidance and support.

You'll make impact by: 

  • Providing legal advice and support on a variety of corporate matters, including contract novations, negotiations, amendments, and renewals, ensuring TPG Telecom’s interests are protected.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and amending contracts, ensuring that terms are clear, practical, and aligned with business objectives and legal requirements.
  • Supporting senior legal counsel in negotiating terms with customers, vendors, and third parties.
  • Building effective relationships and positively influencing TPG and key TPG stakeholders by acting in a manner closely aligned to TPG’s values.
  • Assisting in legal aspects of the separation and transition process related to the proposed transaction.
  • Helping to identify and assess legal risks and provide recommendations to mitigate these risks in contracts and business dealings.
  • Working closely with internal teams and consultants to support legal aspects of business operations and strategic initiatives.

What you’ll bring:

  • Legally qualified (hold a current practising certificate or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 4-6 years PQE.
  • Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills
  • Strong intellect, well-developed analytical and conceptual skills
  • Able to work autonomously, employ initiative to find solutions, prioritise and exercise discretion.
  • Proficiency in applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Ability to clearly communicate and use persuasive strategies within TPG, with partners, suppliers and other external stakeholders
  • Self-motivation and persistence in seeking improvements to proposed processes or approaches for the benefit of TPG
  • Ability to flex up to 5 days office attendance where required
