Your opportunity:

As our valued Junior Corporate Counsel, you will play a vital role providing support and service to the Marketing, Digital and Service business units including reviewing marketing materials & sales collateral and preparing offer & competition terms and conditions. You’ll draw on your strong analytical skills and legal expertise to effectively review marketing materials and develop competitive terms.

You'll make impact by:

  • Reviewing and advising in respect of collateral and advertising
  • Preparing offer and competition terms and conditions
  • Key legal contact on specific marketing launches
  • Providing strategic advice and risk analysis for key areas of TPG
  • Delivering to TPG timely, creative and commercially astute strategic legal advice and support of a professional level, that is cost-effective and directly aligned to TPG’s operational and strategic plans
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to key stakeholders within TPG, anticipating business, legal and regulatory issues, and seeking to effect pragmatic customer focused solutions to achieve desired business outcomes
  • Building effective relationships and positively influencing TPG and key TPG stakeholders by acting in a manner closely aligned to TPG’s values.
  • Assisting in training key stakeholders on advertising law issues
  • Providing support to the Head of the Marketing, Digital and Sales Channels Legal Team, the General Counsel and Group Executive Legal & External Affairs
  • Adhering to TPG policies and procedures introduced and varied from time to time 

What you’ll bring:

  • Law degree
  • 1-2 years post admission experience
  • Proficiency in applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint \
  • Strong intellect, well-developed analytical and conceptual skills
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills
  • Strong communication skills

Ideally, you will also have:

  • The ability to clearly communicate and use persuasive strategies within TPG, with partners, suppliers and other external stakeholders
  • Self-motivation and persistence in seeking improvements to existing practices for the benefit of TPG
  • The ability to galvanise commitment and action in a very busy environment
  • Well-organised and excellent planning skills, particularly the ability to set clear priorities, monitor and achieve specified outcomes
  • Genuine team player with excellent relationship-building skills
