This role is critical in delivering the Fibre Network and EGW Sale to Vocus initiative, managing a highly complex and time-sensitive testing program across multiple workstreams.

Due to the importance of this program, the right candidate will be required to have extensive expertise in the management of Quality Assurance test programs in the Telecoms environment and preferably in the Fixed Networks domain. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Author and maintain the comprehensive Test Strategy for the program, outlining the overall approach, methodologies, and success criteria.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to design the test approach and strategy across all workstreams, ensuring alignment with the program’s objectives and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define detailed test objectives, test cases, test execution plans, and criteria for each workstream.
  • Continuously monitor the test program, producing detailed daily reports on progress, defect aging, escalations, risks, and overall program updates.
  • Analyse and forecast resourcing requirements to ensure the successful and timely execution of the testing program, adapting to changing project demands.
  • Coordinate dependencies across multiple workstreams, ensuring seamless integration and alignment to mitigate risks. Furthermore, work with the Test Directors across other Domains and interlink the Networks test program for overall delivery success.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic environment, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and rapid issue resolution.
  • Oversee the validation of deliverables to ensure they meet technical, business, and compliance requirements.
  • Adapt testing processes to integrate waterfall methodologies, balancing flexibility with structured delivery requirements.
  • Act as the escalation point for testing-related risks and issues, implementing timely mitigation strategies to maintain program continuity.
  • Continuously identify and implement opportunities to enhance test processes, tools, and infrastructure for optimal program efficiency.
  • Foster collaboration among diverse teams to align efforts, share insights, and ensure a unified approach to testing.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level reports summarizing testing progress, risks, and outcomes, ensuring transparency for key stakeholders.
  • Manage 3rd party vendors which are delivering outcomes to TPG in relation to their quality assurance deliverables and report escalations to the relevant Project Manager or Program Director.

 Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quality engineering and testing roles within large technology programs.
  • Experience in managing test programs relating to Fixed Networks, Fibre Networks, OSS Systems, IP Networks, Fixed and Mobile network products, are all very highly desirable attributes.
  • Strong familiarity with telecommunications technologies, systems, and testing frameworks, including Quality Centre or similar test management tools, and a range of automation and performance test tools.
