About the position:
Mends Street Dental is currently looking for an experience Dental Assistant with reception experience on a Part Time basis to work on Mondays from 7:45am to 4:00pm.
Come and join our supportive and dynamic team in our modern 4 chair practice. Our Dentists and team are patient focused to ensure the highest quality treatments and patient centered care are provided every time. We are based across the road from the Swan River with a variety of cafes and restaurants within walking distance.
As a Dental Assistant, you will report to the practice manager and work with the dental team, where you will be exposed to more learning opportunities to enhance your professional abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What do you need to succeed:
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential
- A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
- Attention to detail
