The role is hybrid, usually with one day per week in-office (Box Hill) and remote work from home for the other two days - please note there is a requirement for flexible hours in this role, as we work outside of business hours regularly due to the volunteer nature of our key customers. If you are unable to work early mornings or evenings or from differing locations on occasion, this role will not suit you.

About the Opportunity

The role is designed for high-level governance and compliance support within the Governance department of the Y Victoria’s Business Enablement Team. Reporting to the Executive Manager of Governance, you will contribute to delivering governance requirements across the Y Victoria Group and its subsidiaries. The position involves working with the Y Victoria Board, Board Sub-Committees, Executive Leadership Team, senior management, and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include:

  • Board and Sub-Committee Support: Provide governance support and advice to various meeting Chairs and Conveners.
  • Corporate Governance: Assist the Company Secretary in delivering significant governance, compliance, and legislative activities as required.

The role is a hybrid model between working from home and the Box Hill office.

Part-Time Permanent Position: Preferred days are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with flexibility discussed during the interview (Wednesday is mandatory). There will be the occasional requirement to work outside of business hours. The Full Time Renumeration for this role is $79,243 plus super.

To be successful in this role you will be a positive team player with an exceptional eye for detail. With great organizational skills you will ensure confidentiality, and be professional in your approach. Other requirements include:

  • Workload & Prioritization: Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Written & Editing Skills: Assist with presentations, reports, correspondence, PowerPoints, webinars, and more, including coordinating contributions, typing, and editing.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to draft professional correspondence, take minutes, and maintain appropriate grammar, spelling, and formatting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, SharePoint, and touch typing.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
