Our Customer division is essential for engaging with our audience to deliver service line stories. This includes content creation, campaign strategy, market research and insights, digital projects, creative designs, social media presence, and supporting sales through lead generation and customer service.

About the Opportunity

As the Senior Social Impact & Evaluation Coordinator, you will support the business in a phased rollout of the Social Impact Measurement strategy. This will include capability of building of staff, specialist support to key business units and implementation of data systems.

 Working closely with the Executive Manager - Total Impact innovation, you will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Measurement, Evaluation & Learning plans for business units. The design, delivery and ongoing refinement of business-unit specific plans and organisational-wide frameworks will incorporate the development of organisational policies, practices and standards, to ensure a coordinated and best practice in research and evaluative thinking. You will also be responsible for:

  • Leading and supporting processes to develop the capacity of managers and other staff through training & mentoring programs through the measurement, evaluation and learning plans
  • Supporting the building of an organisational research and evaluation culture
  • Support specific business unit impact data to feed up to organisational impact reports and proposals
  • Liaising with executive leaders in the business to help provide strategic planning to business units through developed and tested approaches and methodologies

This is a twelve month fixed term contact part time role 0.8 FTE (4 days a week) with an annual salary package of $94,000 plus super.

This role is a hybrid model working from home and 1-2 days a week at the State Office in Box Hill. There is an expectation of travel to sites around Victoria to support data collection and analytics in our programs and services.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be a strong leader and communicator with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively on long term goals, new opportunities and improvements, and how to achieve them. Other requirements include:

  • Demonstrated experience leading measurement, evaluation and learning of program and projects in non-for-profit sectors,
  • Demonstrated ability in evaluation culture, backed with an extensive knowledge in theories, approaches and methodologies.
  • Minimum if two years’ experience in relevant field/s, 3-5 years of experience is highly desirable.

Pre-Requisite Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Impact, Human Service, Public Health or related discipline
  • Qualifications in an area related to YMCA Vic, such as public health, education or social sectors
  • A post-graduate qualification in evaluation or relevant research subject, and/or equivalent experience in conducting evaluations
  • Current full Victorian Driver’s License
  • Additional qualifications in Data Analytics will be highly regarded * Desirable
