We are expanding this team, to deal with the increase in new clients and the growth of the industry. We would like to employ our next generation of Home Care Workers where we will pay you to attend work and be trained by our experienced and qualified team members, and we will pay you to attend scheduled class and study days to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care).

We are recruiting part-time Home Care Workers, you will be offered a minimum of 15 hours (guaranteed) and can work up to 30 hours a week.

We will work with you on your availability, and the days and hours of shifts and offer consistency, where possible.

What we are seeking:

  • Have a great attitude
  • Be reliable and have clear communication skills.
  • Want to work with the elderly in their home.
  • Have a willingness to learn and work
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check (be willing to obtain it if you don't have this)
  • NDIS Workers Check (be willing to obtain if you don't have this)
  • Hold a current SA Driver's licence, have a reliable vehicle, and insurance
  • Have full Australian Working Rights and be an AU/NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to access funding to complete the accredited training course and traineeship.
  • Have regular availability
  • Be fit and healthy, be able to complete a variety of tasks (see below) and pass a fitness/health assessment
  • Desire to care for and help the elderly

Shifts:

Shifts are available Monday to Friday, between 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Shift durations vary, from 1 hour to 3 hours, and we work with you to build full days of work, seeing clients back-to-back.

You are paid your travel time and KM's between clients.

Services/Tasks:

Throughout your Traineeship you will be trained on the following services:

  • Domestic Assistance (vacuuming, mopping, changing sheets, surface clean of living areas)
  • Bed making, room tidying up
  • Shopping, completing weekly/fortnightly shopping for the client
  • Transportation, taking clients to and from appointments in the community
  • Personal Care (showering, dressing, grooming)
  • Respite and Social Support
  • Ability to listen, build a report, and work with a range of clients and other staff
