What’s the opportunity?

As part of the Marketing and Communications team, the Marketing and Communications Specialist will use strong communications and marketing skills for Telstra Health’s internal communications, online/social media platforms and stakeholder engagement. This role supports the 1800RESPECT team and the Brilliant Connected Women in Digital Health Network.

Major accountabilities

  • Develop a range of communications and marketing materials including social media content, internal communications, website copy and other similar content.
  • Develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities to improve awareness of 1800RESPECT, particularly among groups that have not been able to access the service easily.
  • Work across growth/performance marketing, including advertising, marketing, analytics and campaign tools such as Adwords campaign (Google + Meta) and Google Analytics.
  • Synthesise insights from media, socials and stakeholders into strategic communications.
  • Support Telstra Health’s Brilliant Connected Women in Digital Health Network including newsletters, events, reports and social media.
  • Support events and conferences across Telstra Health and 1800RESPECT, including briefing documents, merchandise and in-person support.
  • Review and report on organic social media, communications, events, marketing campaigns and competitors.
  • Coordinate initiatives that drive culture, and inclusivity across the business.

You will have experience with:

  • Shaping ideas and developing internal and external communication and marketing campaigns across traditional as well as innovative forums/platforms for a variety of target audiences both B2B and B2C.
  • Planning and executing marketing campaigns using campaign planning skills incorporating marketing automation software, digital media and traditional marketing tactics.  
  • Implementing multi-channel marketing campaigns and a passion for data-driven, insight led campaigns, including paid advertisements across digital platforms.
  • Managing and driving internal communications initiatives and an employee intranet system.
  • Engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Australian healthcare system and demonstrated ability to communicate with key health stakeholders is strongly desirable.
