Regional Sales Lead (EMEA) 

This international role will require the role to be based in one of our primary international locations in the UK, Saudi Arabia, UAE and surrounding GCC.

What’s the opportunity? 

As the Regional Sales Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the Telstra Health Sales Strategy and expanding market presence in your region whilst achieving and exceeding sales targets. Cultivating strong relationships with key clients, identifying growth opportunities, and leading a dynamic sales team to achieve and exceed targets, you will leverage your in-depth knowledge of the market to inform strategic decisions, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.  

By fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, you will empower your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and contribute to realising a connected and improved digital health experience for all.  

This role will be required to work in our primary international locations in the EMEA region. The international opportunities may require the role to be based in these jurisdictions from time to time or for extended periods of time (up to two years).  Frequent travel is likely to be necessary between geographies within the region, as required by customer and market activity.    

About the role: 

Strategic Leadership and Specialist Advice  

The Regional Sales Lead will be responsible for leveraging their specialist sales knowledge, data-driven insights and knowledge of Telstra Health products to influence positive sales outcomes by:  

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, industry stakeholders, and partners, ensuring a positive customer experience by addressing needs and concerns while identifying new business opportunities to drive growth in the EMEA market and maintaining a brand and reputation in market that aligns to Telstra Health’s values.  
  • Demonstrating leadership across the organisation by proactively sharing insights on market developments, sales innovations, and technological advancements, contributing to the broader company strategy as an integral member of the Sales Leadership Team.  

Sales and Growth  

Driving sales and growth involves overseeing sales strategies within the region to expand market share, increase revenue, and meet business targets, the Regional Sales Lead will:  

  • The Regional Sales Lead is accountable for achieving and exceeding sales targets for their assigned region. They develop and execute strategic sales plans, monitor progress against goals, and ensure that the team delivers results in alignment with Telstra Health’s objectives and market demands.  
  • Develop and execute a Strategic Sales Plan aligned with business objectives and targets for various enterprises and organisations across your region, identifying, cultivating, and closing sales engagements.  
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and executives to drive the creation, execution, and expansion of key accounts, ensuring engagement with customer representatives at the highest levels. Identify and propose business opportunities by engaging potential partners, evaluating new market trends, assessing competitive advantages, conducting industry research, and developing data-driven recommendations and business cases.  
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers that align to Telstra Health values, ensuring their needs are met and uncovering new opportunities to drive growth within key accounts.  
  • Lead and successfully negotiate new business deals by coordinating requirements, effectively operationalising deal governance processes, overseeing contract finalisation, and managing launch activities to ensure seamless implementation.  
  • Lead regional product specialists to drive opportunity generation aligned with central product strategy and roadmap.

In demonstrating effective leadership, the Regional Sales Lead will build trust, drive performance, enhance collaboration, and create a positive work environment that supports growth, innovation, and long-term organisational success, focusing on the following key accountabilities:  

  • Provide leadership to internal and external teams, to create a team culture based on delivery and service excellence  
  • Lead and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while providing mentorship and support to team members  
  • Fostering a coaching environment to build capabilities and confidence for direct line reports  
  • Foster a Team culture that celebrates the cultural diversity of the region and leverages the combined strength of a team with multiple cultures and languages.  

About you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business or relevant field or equivalent experience.   
  • Significant experience (6 + years) in building and managing strategic partnerships and high value sales teams and experience across enterprises and relevant industry and government bodies in EMEA and the surrounding regions.  
  • Demonstrated expertise in sales and account management and an understanding of the impact on the broader business and wider customer/organisation.  
  • Strong track record in identifying sales opportunities for new clients and building and maintaining networks including to adopt new technologies and digital services.  
  • Proven capability in leading a successful sales and accounts team, working with a sales excellence team and developing constructive and supportive relationships with peers and other team members.
