What’s the opportunity?
The Senior Accountant and Lead is key person responsible for overseeing the following activities for our strategic client in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- The establishment of an integrated financial and billing managed services function to support the transformation and uplift of systems, processes and outcomes
- The successful deployment and integration of systems, software, or technology solutions
- Must be located or willing to re-locate to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and be embedded with key customer for at least 2 years
Key Accountabilities & Outcomes
The Senior Accountant and Lead will be responsible for overseeing the financial management and engagement activities for the managed services provided to our strategic customer. This role requires a deep understanding of hospital finance management, and a solid grasp of hospital funding systems, particularly Activity-Based Funding (ABF).
The Senior Accountant and Lead is responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of projects, working closely with internal teams and our strategic client to ensure timely, on-budget completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
This role involves managing project scope, collaborating with stakeholders, and guiding teams through the implementation process, all while ensuring clear communication and effective risk management. Additionally, the Senior Accountant and Lead provides training, support, and continuous improvement recommendations post-implementation.
The key accountabilities include:
Managed Services Leadership and Delivery
- Act as the primary point of contact for the strategic customer’s senior management, project leads and the managed services team.
- Implement an effective operating model for ongoing management and governance.
- Oversee the financial operations related to the managed service, including budgeting, costing, and pricing.
- Lead end-to-end implementation of the managed services, ensuring that all aspects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Work with the managed services team and external stakeholders to execute on detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations, and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to address issues promptly.
- Lead and foster growth within managed services team members
Financial Management & System Implementation
- Oversee the managed services function which seeks to transform and uplift of strategic customer’s financial operations and systems in line with the shift to activity based funding.
- Work with Client finance teams to transform financial systems and processes via continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement revised revenue treatment and reporting approaches.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in data capture, quality, costing, and pricing processes.
- Work with technical SMEs and delivery management to deliver complete, safe and timely implementation of new systems, processes and products. Continuously improve and automate processes over time with integration
Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the implementation phase, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure proper configuration, customisation, and deployment of the solution.
Training and Post-Implementation Support
- Ensure end user training sessions are provided and ongoing support to ensure successful adoption of the implemented solution.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to gather feedback, identify areas for improvement, and apply lessons learned to future projects.
- Ensure documentation of all aspects of the project including configurations, customisations, and operational processes
About you:
- Chartered Accountant (Essential)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field (Optional)
- Delivery or project management certification desired
- 5+ years of experience as a hospital finance manager.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance systems, processes and requirements.
- Proven experience in successfully leading and managing complex implementation projects within Health from start to finish.
- Able to reason and lead through complex and ambiguous problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding of delivery mechanisms and implementation methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
