Marketing and Communications Specialist - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Sydney or Melbourne

As part of the Corporate Affairs team, the Marketing and Communications Specialist will work across the Telstra Health business, with the primary focus of this role supporting the Primary, Aged and Community Care business unit. The role will shape our communication strategy for this segment of the business, in conjunction with the wider Telstra Health strategy. This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

What’s the opportunity?

  • Develop and implement the communications strategy for the business unit in conjunction with the marketing team, and wider Telstra Health Strategy
  • Work closely with the product teams within the segment to provide proactive communications to our customer base
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce copy for marketing assets, such as advertisements and brochures
  • Develop a range of communications materials, including social media content, white papers, customer case studies, video scripts, internal communications, website copy and other similar content to support the strategy
  • Support the customer advocacy program with proactive and engaging communications to our customers, including the customer newsletter
  • Analyse market trends and consumer behaviour to identify opportunities for increased engagement
  • Synthesise insights from external media, socials and stakeholders into strategic communications
  • Manage updates to staff social channels, and implement ways to encourage engagement 

About you:

We are looking for a candidate with a strong communications and marketing background that demonstrates an understanding of online and other social media platforms for stakeholder engagement. You will bring energy and creativity to Telstra Health as we continue to grow, including through our international expansion. While you will work across the Telstra Health business, the primary focus of this role is supporting Primary, Aged and Community Care business unit. You will also need to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of the Australian healthcare system and demonstrated ability to communicate with key health stakeholders.
  • Experience in using marketing automation tools such as Hubspot
  • Experience in using website platforms such as Wordpress
  • Experience implementing multi-channel communications campaigns and a passion for data-driven, insight led campaigns
  • An undergraduate qualification in communications, change management, digital and social media, public communication, public relations or media
