What’s the opportunity?

The Risk & Resiliency Specialist supports the Senior Risk & Resilience Specialist in the delivery and embedment of Telstra Health's enterprise risk and resiliency activities. This role helps mitigate global risks and embed strong risk practices across the organisation, ensuring a reliable and secure digital health experience for all users. 

About the role:

The Risk & Resiliency Specialist plays a vital role in supporting risk management and resiliency initiatives at Telstra Health. The key accountabilities include:

Enterprise Risk Management

  • Work alongside Senior Risk & Resiliency Specialist to drive the development and maturity of the 3 lines of defence model across Telstra Health, aligning with company strategy to drive maturity in Risk and Compliance management and culture.
  • Support and promote Telstra Health’s enterprise risk management process for identifying, assessing and mitigating global risks.
  • Support and promote Telstra Health’s enterprise risk management process for identifying, assessing and mitigating global risks.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and reviewing Telstra Health's risk literature.
  • Support in the implementation and on-going maintenance of a current and documented Risk Management Framework that is optimised for ease of administration and effectiveness.
  • Assist the Senior Risk & Resiliency Specialist to embed strong risk management practices across the business and monitor enterprise-wide risks.
  • Attend and participate in the risk workshops at the organisational-wide and business unit levels.
  • Assist the Senior Risk & Resiliency Specialist in leading regular cadence of risk management monitoring and reporting for each business unit.
  • Perform regular risk reporting.

Business Resilience

  • Assist the Senior Risk & Resiliency Specialist in managing and monitoring Telstra Health's business resilience and crisis management programs and monitor the effectiveness of both through an effective testing program over resiliency arrangements.

Stakeholder Relationships

  • Develop and maintain trusted and effective working relationships with executive stakeholders

About you:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a leading risk management consulting firm, or a listed organisation’s second- or third-line function.
  • Experience in risk management practices and delivering risk assessments.
  • Sound understanding of business resilience, continuity and related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and reviewing a range of Framework and Policy documents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with stakeholders, operational staff, and management.
  • Understanding of the importance of stakeholder engagement and management skills, with an awareness of personal authenticity.
  • Willingness to continually develop skills to influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes
  • Experience working in a clinical environment is preferred.

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in risk, governance or a related field.
