What’s the opportunity?

The Senior Finance Analyst works closely with senior business unit leaders to support business priorities and deliver strategic commercial insights to enable and support business growth and has ownership of monthly performance and sales reporting along with annual budgets and forecasts. The role is to facilitate robust business decision making processes that involve reviewing end-to-end profitability of all domestic products.

Major accountabilities:

  • Consolidation of new sales and revenue data across multiple products into a single source of truth that can be used for regular reporting and forecasting.
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly business reviews and monthly board reporting.
  • Reporting/forecasting model building and leveraging systems to improve automation and speed in execution.
  • Preparation and analysis of business cases for the business including commercial review
  • Budgeting and Forecasting – annual budget, quarterly/ rolling 12-month forecasts, run-rate analysis.
  • Assisting business leaders with messaging including preparation of slideware and analysis for business reviews and other ad hoc reports as required.
  • Sales commissions calculations structuring and reporting.
  • Provision of appropriate leadership across the organisation in finance related matters including roll out and adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Supporting the Finance team and wider organisation with transformation and transition into unified systems and processes.
  • Preparation and delivery of training to increase financial literacy of company staff and to aid decision making and performance.

About you:

This is a highly visible role with regular interaction with key internal and external stakeholders including exposure to all levels within the organisation. Strong relationship building skills at every level are therefore a must!

In addition, the Senior Finance Analyst must have exceptional communication and influencing skills and will thrive in an environment where they will be key to uplifting the commercial understanding of business leaders through proactive partnership, coaching, and knowledge sharing to leverage insights from across the business to help drive business decisions.

The role offers a rare opportunity to join the Telstra Health group and help make a difference to people’s lives through quality health care and enablement. While experience gained in similar industries or roles could be advantageous, the role is open to the right candidate and would be open to individuals transitioning from Audit, Financial Accounting or Commercial reporting and FP&A.

Bachelor qualifications in Finance or related Business discipline and CPA or CA qualification preferred, or part way through completion.
