What’s the opportunity?
The Finance Specialist, will be responsible for implementing and executing on a finance and budgeting system transformation with our strategic client in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ensuring efficient operations across various shared functions, promoting best practice, and maintaining high standards of service delivery. The Finance Specialist will drive the budgeting and / or reporting elements of the finance transformation program to design and implement processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to support our strategic customer’s adoption of activity based funding and speciality level profitability analysis. This role will be embedded with our strategic customer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for 2 years.
About the role:
Embedded directly with our strategic customer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Finance Specialist will:
- Be a key member of the managed services team which seeks to transform and uplift financial operations, systems and reporting in line with the shift to activity-based funding and speciality level reporting.
- Own the reporting and budgeting streams including continuous improvement initiatives with the client and collaborate closely with teams to enhance financial processes and systems integration.
- Support and run the uplift program associated with transformation of day-to-day activities of finance and budgeting services.
- Complete ad-hoc and regular data analysis, transformation and modelling to support implementation of improvement initiatives
- Act as an SME on:
- tools used for budgeting and reporting (e.g. BI and budget software
- process improvement and adoption of best practice (speciality level) budgeting and reporting
- support client teams to for customer teams to completing period close activities under the new model
- financial metrics and outcomes used in monitoring and reporting.
- Process Improvement: continuously assess existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Map out existing processes across existing systems and propose practical and streamlined solutions to harmonise practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with client and internal teams to understand their needs.
About you:
- Qualified chartered accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within a large complex business
- Experience working within Hospital finance teams (experience with activity based funding particularly desirable)
- Experience delivering in finance and health transformation projects
- Experience using excel and data analytics tools to provide high quality insights on complex data sets
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working with senior management and external stakeholders
- Adaptable to change
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders
