What’s the opportunity?

The Salesforce Technical Architect that sits within Telstra Health’s Architecture and Standards Group will leverage deep expertise in the Salesforce platform to design and implement innovative solution architectures.

This role is responsible for developing Salesforce applications that seamlessly integrate with third-party systems, all while contributing to our vision of delivering a more connected and improved digital health experience for all.

In completing work responsibilities assigned to this role, the Salesforce Technical Architect will drive impactful, user-centric digital health solutions that exceed customer expectations and enhance healthcare delivery.

About the role:

Salesforce Technical Architecture and Systems Build

Developing and communicating a multi-dimensional technical architecture to deliver agreed business outcomes, the Salesforce Technical assistant will contribute to health solution design by:

  • Providing architecture leadership and technical direction to teams developing products and services utilising the Salesforce platform.
  • Designing comprehensive and scalable Salesforce applications that meet and exceed customer expectations. This includes solutions that are cost effective, make efficient use of cloud infrastructure, and can effectively scale to meet needs of large and small customer organisations.
  • Planning, implementing and controlling activities to synthesise system components to create operational systems, products or services. 
  • Work in alignment with relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices to ensure quality assurance and compliance to legislation and industry standards.
  • Provide guidance and risk-based governance to support solution implementation including managing requests for changes and deviations from specifications.
  • Development of innovative solutions aligned with Telstra Health strategy and vision.  

Collaboration and Team Support

Working across multi-disciplinary teams, the Salesforce Technical Architect will provide technical support and expertise to inform collaborative initiatives, develop effective solutions, and contribute to increased technical knowledge within Telstra Health by:

  • Working with the diverse and dedicated teams within Telstra Health ranging from fellow Solution Architects to Engineers, User Experience Designers, Cyber Security, Clinicians, Project Managers and Product Managers to ensure solutions meet the needs and high standards expected of customers.
  • Contributing to increased capability across teams by leading functional and technical workshops in relevant areas.
  • Assisting with troubleshooting requirements as needed.
  • Providing technical guidance, specialist knowledge and professional insights to teams and senior leaders to inform decision-making.
  • Guiding the evaluation of business and technical requirements across diverse stakeholders at Telstra Health.

 Information and Systems Security

Defining and operating a framework of security controls and security management strategies, the Salesforce Technical Architect will:

  • Ensure technical solutions are secure by design, enhancing clinical safety and utility and are highly performant. 

About you:

Essential:

  • Bachelor or higher level of computer science, software engineering, information technology or similar highly regarded.
  • Relevant Salesforce Architect certifications.
  • Other relevant architecture and relevant I.T. education or certifications such as TOGAF, CHIA highly regarded
  • 5+ years’ experience in a technical architecture or comparable architect role.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions with the Salesforce platform, including demonstrated experience designing sophisticated business processes and workflows using Salesforce platform features and integration technologies.
  • 10+ years working in software engineering environments.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Apex, Lightning and Salesforce DX.
  • Salesforce Health Cloud.
  • Thorough understanding of Salesforce platform security, identity and access management, data sharing and visibility.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to solve complex integration challenges.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Salesforce Health Cloud.
  • Health and/or Digital Health industry experience preferred.
