What’s the opportunity?
Design, implement and execute all talent acquisition, talent development and employee experience activities, to improve internal capability, enhance Leadership, engage and retain our employees and attract top talent to deliver on Telstra Health’s strategy and objectives. Work as part of the broader P&C Leadership team to develop and execute critical P&C strategies and activities, whilst supporting the P&C team in their own individual growth and development.
About the role:
- Develop and implement contemporary talent development strategies to build critical skills and competencies across Telstra Health
- Effective leadership of talent acquisition to ensure the end-to-end hiring process is executed to a high standard, hero’s our EVP, values and culture, and attracts and secures top talent.
- Partner with senior leaders to identify and address capability needs for current and future, through sourcing to build workforce plans (Maintain robust talent and succession pipelines)
- Curate a leading onboarding experience that engages our new starters and inducts them effectively and efficiently into Telstra Health
- Continue to build and evolve the Talent and Capability function, in line with Telstra Health’s strategy and needs
- With the Senior People & Culture partners, oversee employee development programs and annual performance cycles to ensure all employees are equipped to lead their own growth and development, and have access to blended learning opportunities
- Build consistent leadership practices and capabilities across the business based on our Leadership pillars, and identify and grow future leaders
- Continue to review and evolve our EVP in line with business direction and People & Culture strategy and initiatives.
- Ensure all recruitment policies, employment contracts and hiring documents are kept up to date and compliant.
- Partner with the Executive team to identify and develop key talent, and build out succession plans for critical roles
- Oversee our employee experience , ensuring these are aligned to our EVP and culture
- Partner with the P&C Executive to build and execute a roadmap for DEI going forward
- Lead, develop and empower the team to deliver exceptional talent acquisition, development & employee experiences
- Partner with the P&C team to launch our new LMS within Oracle
- Oversee the ongoing management and effective utilisation of the ATS and LMS within Oracle
About you:
- Demonstrable recent experience in a Talent role preferably that has a global reach
- Relevant tertiary qualification in HR Management, Adult Learning or Organisational Psychology and/or significant experience working in People & Culture
- Proven OD experience, particularly across leadership development and talent management strategies
- Experience in building Talent programs from the ground up
- Experience in attracting diverse talent through progressive TA practices and strategies
- Experience leading Talent teams, ideally through change and transformation
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship and influencing skills across all levels of the business
- Experience in capability gap analysis and implementing solutions
- Managing offshore vendors/partners (preferred)
- Experience in working with senior leaders to build workforce plans, including succession planning and identifying top talent and critical roles
- Experience in executive and senior level search
- Knowledge of best practice talent management principles and strategies for building a high-performance culture
- Project management capability
- Technology or Health recruitment experience is highly desirable
- Outstanding facilitation skills with a flair for engaging and motivating people
- A passion for creating exceptional experiences for employees
