About the role

Tallangatta Health Service is seeking passionate graduate Registered Nurses to join our team for the 2025 program intake. 

Working within our Acute ward and Residential Aged Care facility, this position will provide you the opportunity to develop your clinical and care skills in a rural health setting within a positive and supportive team environment.

Our graduate program involves an individualized development program focusing on both clinical and non-clinical aspects of nursing. As well as our acute and aged care units, your rotations may also include working in our community and primary health units as well as other hospitals in our region, providing you the opportunity to learn and experience different areas of nursing and gain greater clinical development.

This is a one-year fixed term contract, with 64 hours per fortnight, and the opportunity to continue with us once the year is complete.

As a graduate you may also be eligible to receive up to $5,000 from the Victorian Department of Health under the Nursing and Midwifery Graduate Sign-on Bonus. Tallangatta Health Service is a 61 bed, small rural public health service providing a mix of acute, sub-acute, aged care residential, and community services to Tallangatta and the surrounding district. We pride ourselves on being a consumer-focused progressive provider of care to our community, patients and residents with a multidisciplinary focus.

About you

You are passionate about person centred care and motivated to enhance the wellbeing of our consumers. You will also meet the following criteria;

  • Are eligible for registration as Registered Nurse with AHPRA. Successful candidates must be registered prior to commencement of the program
  • Demonstrated commitment to person-centred care.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Computer literacy with word-processing and data base programs

All appointments are made subject to the required security screening including National Criminal History, Vic Working with Children, NDIS Worker Screening checks and an immunisation status appropriate to the role, including the COVID19 and influenza vaccinations.
