We are looking for the best-in-class Project Controls Manager ideally with backgrounds in Water Infrastructure Projects other infrastructure and/or Construction Projects. We need your skills and expertise to help Sydney Water deliver a $34 billion dollar investment program over the next 10 years to build, maintain and protect the future of our iconic water resources.

About the Program Controls Manager role:

In this role the Program Control Manager will work with our Portfolio Controls Team to support the controls for programs and projects delivered within Engineering and Technical Services Team (ETS), to ensures that Sydney Water is able to manage their pipeline of works for significant capital works portfolio.

The role develops, implements, and manages controls systems, databases, and tools to provide a basis for forecasting and trends in order to deliver high quality information to identify bottlenecks, priority concerns and delays within scope of works. The role also leads innovative approaches and analysis of data, working closely with ETS team and Portfolio Team and to provide a high level of pipeline confidence to Sydney Water.

The role is responsible for the day-to-day program controls matters and supporting the performance of the Controls team and the c.$1.4bn p/annum Sydney Water Infrastructure Portfolio (consisting of multiple programs and standalone projects).

About you:

  • 10+ years’ experience in project controls, cost, time, risk and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering high quality intelligence and reports across the project lifecycle for high complexity, high risk projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading programs a project controls navigation mindset. Provide clear pathway of program to progress aligning with the high-level strategy of business objectives
  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or experience deemed equivalent
  • Desirable skills in Project Management qualifications, PMI, AIPM, AACE, qualifications or equivalent.
