We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer/Scientist/Specialist to be part of the Maintenance Engineering – Wastewater team where you will provide sound technical input in reliability and maintenance engineering.
In this role, you will contribute to developing the 1-5 year maintenance and renewal plans, ensuring both new and existing assets have the appropriate strategies in place to meet performance, cost, and risk objectives. You will focus on long-term planning, collaborating with strategic planning, investment teams, delivery partners, and operations teams, while working closely with the maintenance and performance monitoring teams to align asset management strategies with organizational goals and ensure effective execution of maintenance and renewal plans.
Support Investment Planning: Contribute to the TOTEX Investment and Works Plan, identifying asset concerns for renewal/replacement discussions.
Review and Align Strategies: Ensure asset maintenance and renewal strategies align with organizational standards and performance goals.
Monitor Asset Condition: Oversee condition assessments, identify risks, and review specialist reports to manage asset performance.
Prepare Renewals and Mitigation Plans: Develop business cases for renewals, contribute to ROMP discussions, and manage operational risks and mitigations.
Ensure Effective Asset Management: Ensure assets are tracked in Maximo or HIDRA, conduct criticality assessments, and support root cause analysis for asset failures.
This role will be based out of Potts Hill and require travel across our region of operations.
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, science or a related discipline, or experience deemed equivalent, with demonstrated experience and skills in operations, maintenance, and renewals of wastewater assets.
- A comprehensive understanding of asset management or similar developed through industry experience with a minimum 6 year experience in related activities.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with the ability to synthesise and consolidate a large amount of information for clarity of objective and outcome.
