About the role

  • Help us innovate to meet the challenges of our growing cities as the Change Excellence Manager. This role will identify change impacts across the enterprise, providing insights to Sydney Water Executive and sponsors. The role is responsible for designing and implementing initiatives to improve change maturity. The primary objective of role is to improve change agility at Sydney Water.
  • With responsibility for building change management capability across all levels of the organisation key accountabilities include:
  • Maintain an enterprise-wide view of change to ensure interdependencies are identified and managed, synergies between programs maximised and stakeholder impacts managed in the most effective way to improve adoption.
  • Identify change risks and issues at an enterprise level and provide insights and solutions to the Executive and sponsors.
  • Capture information regarding Sydney Waters change agenda and report on these impacts to enable effective executive decision-making (breadth and depth of organisational change).
  • Provide advisory expertise into stage gate reviews to ensure that change management activities have been conducted and relevant artefacts have been produced in line with project lifecycles (e.g., change impact assessments, stakeholder engagement plans and change readiness assessments).
  • Deliver and manage change frameworks and tools to enable ongoing improvement.
  • Lead the improvement of organisational change management maturity by increasing awareness and integrating change practices in business-as-usual activity.
  • Provide change management guidance and coaching to Senior Change Leads, Program Managers and Executives.

About you

  • You have significant experience leading a Change Management team including:
  • At least 10 years’ professional experience in change management
  • Should have managed Enterprise Portfolio Management.
  • Experience working in complex ambiguous environment.
  • Responsible for increasing organisation change maturity.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change teams, 3 years plus.
  • Experience in developing and implementing company-wide change strategies.
  • Leadership of major projects requiring change management
  • Experience with Executive level presentations.
  • Experience gained from a variety of industry sectors such as utilities, government, and consulting practices.
  • Knowledge of best/competitive practices in change management
  • Establishes effective relationships with peers and business customers.
