About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Draftsperson who has a passion for working with the AutoCAD application to produce electrical schematics across projects that involve new and innovative technologies.
As a dedicated resource to Sydney Water’s IICATS Solutions team, you will have an opportunity to create key electrical documentation and drawings on one of our core business projects involving remote telemetry. You will be able to use your advanced AutoCAD skills and also touch on “leading edge” technologies as Sydney Water continues to shape the direction and application of remote telemetry in the Utilities industry across Australia.
Your duties will involve:
Provide Electrical Design & Drafting for Electrical project work using AutoCAD
Electrical Drafting using AutoDesk - AutoCAD application to assist in project delivery.
Produce template drawings in AutoDesk - AutoCAD format as defined by the IACS Project Engineer to meet Project timelines.
Assist Project Engineers in design and layout of electrical installations and circuitry on switchgear, cabling systems, motor control systems and instrumentation for Sydney Water Assets.
Prepare drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry for Sydney Water Assets.
Manage drawing version control within Sydney Waters’ Electronic Drawing Management System.
Who are we looking for?
Demonstrated experience working as an Electrical Designer or Draftsperson preparing single line diagrams, schematics and control circuits with the AutoDesk - AutoCAD application with proven experience in the use of AutoCAD.
Appropriate TAFE or University qualifications in Electrical Engineering or an Electrical Drafting related discipline.
Effective written and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience working under limited direction and to tight deadlines.
