About the role
With specialist knowledge in leadership development, succession planning, talent management, and learning and development, the Leadership and Talent Specialist will work across the full learning life cycle, leading engagements with internal and external stakeholders through all stages.
The Leadership and Talent Specialist - Infrastructure Delivery is the key relationship point of contact for leadership with the Infrastructure Delivery Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Shaping innovative learning solutions for the Capital Infrastructure Portfolio (CIP) aligned with Sydney Water’s strategy.
- Driving impactful leadership development, enhancing commercial, cultural, and safety performance.
- Designing effective onboarding programs for new leaders and support leadership transitions.
- Developing and implementing tailored solutions to boost individual, team, and organisational capabilities.
- Managing and delivering diverse development initiatives, from mentoring to experiential learning.
- Collaborating on enterprise projects and embed the enterprise capability framework.
- Champion talent management, succession planning, and high-potential talent growth.
- Leverage data-driven insights to refine development practices. Growth of high potential talent, including individual and cohort-based options.
About you
- 8-10 years’ experience working in operational/construction/utility/heavy industry environment with focus on safety and compliance learning requirements.
- Experience in leading and delivery of leadership programs in an operational environment including designing and developing online and/or blended learning in response to various learning requirements.
- Post graduate qualifications in adult education or organisational development (not essential)
- Ability to plan and implement all stages of the learning lifecycle (i.e., from planning and design through to implementation and evaluation).
- Conducting learning needs analysis.
- Face-to-face and virtual facilitation skills.
- Program/project management skills.
- Highly developed stakeholder management /internal consulting skills and relationship management.
- Human centred design skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially coaching and communications skills.
