Senior Capability Assessor
About the Role:
The role provides specialised technical support in managing and planning infrastructure assets including water, wastewater and stormwater assets across Growth and Development to ensure service level agreements are met and developer experience is improved, while supporting the city's growth by connecting developers to the network and protecting assets.
The role is responsible for managing stakeholder relationships and providing technical advice to identify servicing opportunities to ensure the business meets regulatory requirements for our developers, customers, internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Assess, prioritise and allocate applications to the appropriate resource within the team to ensure the work is delivered on time and meeting quality and regulatory requirements.
- Assess plans including integration opportunities across systems, drivers, customers, catchments, resources, materials, products, and services.
- Provide technical advice that contributes to planning outcomes and the development of best practice planning approaches.
- Provide technical advice and support in strategic planning and business direction decision making within planning team.
- Make planning decisions using good judgement and knowledge, and evaluate risks, governed by the application of regulations, best practice and business policies and procedures.
- Build rapport and maintain internal and external relationships to enable effective consideration of stakeholder needs and expectations in planning processes and projects as well as an ability to influence and negotiate with planning related stakeholders.
- Who are we looking for?
You will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Infrastructure Management, Planning, or a related discipline or demonstrated experience deemed equivalent.
- Post graduate qualifications in , Engineering, Infrastructure Management, Planning or similar related qualification (Desirable)
- Knowledge of effective stakeholder engagement processes and collaborative planning experience.
- Knowledge of risk, cost and performance drivers and ability to optimise these.
- Understanding and experience with major water or other similar utility.
- Demonstrated experience in working within a development servicing/ infrastructure planning environment with knowledge around water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure assets.
- Contribute to development risk management ensuring risks are identified mitigated and managed.
- Provide technical lead in the development and implementation of guidelines, process, procedures, work instructions, systems and portals within the team.
