About the role
The Senior Project Manager – Divestment manages the delivery of complex and high risk property divestments. You will collaborate with both internal and external teams to manage and resolve site constraints and project risks. You will use your experience in property development, project management and technical expertise to ensure that Sydney Water property divestments meet regulatory standards and are optimised for positive commercial outcomes.
What You’ll Bring:
- Manage the divestment of Sydney Water properties – working with and providing advice to stakeholder groups and engaging consultants
- Lead collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams to manage and resolve complex issues and project risks
- Manage the registration of subdivisions and easements, development applications, planning proposals, utility servicing connections, civil works and other property divestment activities
- Contribute to maintaining the financial accounting including status reporting, inputs to capex and opex forecasting and budgets, and updating the Fixed Asset Register and relevant property databases.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree qualification in a relevant field eg. Property, Urban Planning, Business Management, Project Management or Engineering with post grad qualifications highly regarded.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant legislative and compliance requirement with regards to property transactions.
- 7+ years relevant industry and leadership experience in property divestment, property development and/or planning.
- Experience in managing all aspects of property divestment transaction activities.
- Project and program management including strategic property portfolio management.
- Prior experience in working with Local Councils, NSW planning authorities and approval/planning gateways.
Skills:
- Accountability and ownership of project performance and outcomes
- Proficiency in identifying and managing avoidable reputational risks
- Strong problem solving skills in relation to water infrastructure and property matters
- Advanced stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Knowledge and experience of water infrastructure or similar industry.
