About the role
The primary purpose of the role is to provide leadership, workplace program direction, prioritisation of building uplift in partnership with internal operational stakeholders and business partners to maximise property utilisation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead, develop and contribute to the Sydney Water Property Workplace Strategy. Plan programs and budgets aligned with Sydney Water Strategic Business Objectives.
- Lead Property Workplace Governance aligning internal and external stakeholder groups to maximise property asset lifecycle, deliver sound financial outcomes and fulfill all regulatory and statutory obligations.
- Develop strong and positive internal stakeholder relationships with a genuine reputation of positively balancing internal business requirements, financial budget prioritisation and optimisation, create safe and compliant environments.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Workplace team delivering the workplace management program, driving continuous improvement of property asset management systems, asset performance for, workplace accommodation, training facilities, warehousing, depots & emergency control rooms.
- Ensure all technical documentation is controlled and maintained in accordance with quality management system, relevant legislation, regulation, and standards.
- Ensure Post Implementation Reviews are conducted for all significant SWIRL incidents, outcomes are documented, and lessons learned are shared to appropriate internal stakeholders.
About you
- Relevant degree qualification (management, business, engineering) or experience deemed equivalent.
- Expert knowledge of relevant legislative and compliance requirements (such as Work Health and Safety and National Building Code of Construction)
- Appropriate asset management qualifications leading to membership of relevant industry groups such as Facilities Management Association, Asset Management Council, Project Management Institute or similar.
- Evidence of Property, Facilities, Contract, Stakeholder management experience, knowledge, and expertise.
- Demonstrated experience in managing the delivery of multi-disciplinary maintenance and asset management programs and project delivery.
