Senior Manager Capital Investment Portfolio Planning
This newly created role is accountable for developing and actively managing Sydney Water’s 10-year $34 billion Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and 5-year IPART regulatory determination submission for the Infrastructure Investment Portfolio.
This role is a highly influential, strategic level, portfolio management role requiring strong collaboration and engagement with senior management across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Portfolio Investment Planning & Capital Management function, ensuring performance and alignment of the capital portfolio with the enterprise strategic goals
- Lead engagement and negotiation with senior executives at Sydney Water to evaluate, develop, and enhance the capital project pipeline and associated program and portfolio budgets.
- Develop and manage the Infrastructure Investment component of Sydney Water’s 5-year IPART regulatory determination.
- Lead the development of Sydney Water’s Portfolio Infrastructure Investment Strategy and framework to maximise return on investment.
About You:
- Significant experience in Capital investment planning, portfolio management and/or asset management practices, governance, and assurance methodologies.
- Significant experience in Portfolio, program and/or project management technical skills
- Capability to proactively develop and manage a complex infrastructure investment portfolio.
- Understanding and experience with major water or other similar utility or infrastructure asset businesses.
- Understanding of infrastructure construction delivery and commercial and contract management.
- Knowledge of utility regulatory planning & submission development is desirable.
