About the Role:
The primary goal of this role is to drive the successful development, procurement, and delivery of high-impact projects valued between $500m and $1b. You'll be at the wheel, leading dynamic project teams, making strategic decisions, and tackling complex challenges with skill. Your role will involve engaging with key Sydney Water stakeholders, contractors, and consultants to ensure every project component is delivered safely, meets all contract and asset standards, and adheres to planning approvals.
You'll have the opportunity to specialise in the development or delivery phase, with the potential to transition between these exciting focuses. If you’re passionate about managing large-scale projects and achieving excellence, this is your chance to make a significant impact.
As the Delivery Manager duties include but are not limited to;
- Manage the delivery of the project outcomes (including safety, time, cost, quality) to approved business cases and other relevant approvals.
- Oversee contractor work to ensure delivery of contracted requirements in terms of scope, cost, quality and time.
- Manage and enable resolution of the project(s) wide range of technical and commercial issues, monitor and support achievement of key project milestones and performance.
- Collaborate across the business and with key stakeholders to deliver the project outcomes.
- Build and lead effective cross-organisation and multi discipline integrated project teams across Sydney Water and supply chain providers that are capable of working collaboratively to develop and deliver against the performance outcomes for the investment in any given major project.
- Manage preparation and processes for approval of the project through each investment gateway/assurance step from multiple stakeholders within Sydney Water and, with the Project Director, key stakeholders external to Sydney Water.

Who are we looking for?
You must be able to work in both office and site-based environments
You will have:
- Relevant degree qualification (e.g. Science, Infrastructure Investment, Construction Management, Engineering, Environment, Commerce) or experience deemed equivalent.
- NSW (or accepted equivalent) general construction induction card (white card)
- Unrestricted NSW Class C (or accepted equivalent) drivers licence
- Proven program and project management experience, delivering large and multi-faceted projects, is essential
- Experience in development, procurement and delivery of complex, high risk, high profile, infrastructure projects
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary, effective and efficient project teams delivering assigned performance metrics/outcomes
- Project leadership skills
- Demonstrated experience in efficient and effective decision making in the context of high risk/high profile project delivery
