About the Role:

Are you a pro at producing digital content that has the customer front and centre? Are you an experienced writer able to produce content for multiple channels including web, print and email? Are you used to juggling priorities?

Sydney Water is looking for a Customer Communications Multimedia Advisor to help us engage with our customers through a variety of channels. In this role, you’ll produce content that is accessible, consistent and brings our messages to life, making complex information clear and customer friendly.

Your work will play a key role in enhancing the customer experience, aligning with our brand values, and helping us achieve our communication and engagement goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content creation: collaborate with business units across the organisation to understand their needs and develop engaging content that enhances the user experience.
  • Web and digital: produce website content updates, web site forms, repair links and defects where required and ensure content is user-friendly, accessible, and optimized for both SEO and customer experience.
  • Multimedia asset management: manage visual asset production and management by collaborating with our marketing unit and external providers.
  • Customer portal, My Account: provide back up support to the My Account Customer Portal Lead when required, with content creation, problem solving, defect testing and generally assist the team in migrating customers to the My Account customer portal.
  • Creative problem- solving- work with diverse stakeholders to develop creative solutions that effectively communicate complex technical and regulatory information in a customer-friendly format.
  • Brand consistency: ensure content aligns with our brand voice, style guide and messaging across channels.
  • Stay ahead of trends: keep up with the latest tools, trends, and best practices in digital media, from new Adobe features to evolving accessibility best practice.

About You:

You’re a skilled content creator with a knack for translating technical information into engaging digital content. You have experience managing content across various platforms and are adept at using creative tools to deliver top-tier results. You can manage multiple projects at once and can respond quickly to urgent priorities. You’re proactive, organised, and able to create and manage positive working relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree or qualification in Communications, Multimedia, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in multimedia production, content creation, and digital communications.
  • Experience with content management systems including Adobe or similar and a solid understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills tailored for digital and multimedia platforms.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, engaging language for a variety of audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and collaborate across teams.
