Manager Corporate Social Responsibility
About the role
The role will have a focus externally, to enhance society and the environment through community investment programs and partnerships, and internally on employee connection and belonging to Sydney Water.
You will have a particular interest in our impacts on diverse community groups including Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities and will showcase Sydney Water as a socially responsible business, utilising a mix of internal and external channels, positively impacting the employee value proposition and corporate reputation and trust.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and operationalise Sydney Water’s Corporate Social Responsibility programs to deliver on Sydney Water’s strategy.
- Lead the development and delivery of the CSR framework and CALD engagement guide, to build community knowledge of water management in support of strategic outcomes.
- Lead community investment programs, including charitable giving, volunteering and community grants.
- Manage partnerships including WaterAid Australia, to support environmental and socially responsible outcomes, aligned to the Corporate Social Responsibility framework and Sydney Water’s corporate priorities.
- Work with teams across the business to guide and advise on initiatives to engage and communicate with CALD communities across campaigns, community events and corporate channels.
- Build strong partnerships with groups within Sydney Water who work within CSR and ESG themes.
About You
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in community activities and involvement, Corporate Social Responsibility or stakeholder engagement.
- A proven track record in the management of complex community and stakeholder relationships that operate in a public arena.
- Experience in coordinating a complex and broad engagement program, including across groups, partners, and portfolios.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including strong corporate and policy communication skills.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, including strong team development, coaching, diplomacy, and conflict management skills.
- Provides expert counsel on Corporate Social Responsibility and guides people and team with clarity and confidence.
