About the Role

This role is ideally based at Strathpine in Brisbane (hybrid work model) but we would also be open to candidates located in other states. Remote work arrangement could be an option for the right candidate. Please note that we also have an office at Rhodes in Sydney.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Network & Communications Architect to join our Digital & Technology team.

Reporting to the Head of Architecture & Engineering, the Network & Communications Architect will be responsible for the Architectural design, documentation and standards of the platform\s to which they are embedded. This role will maintain an overarching view of the end-to-end environment while designing solution components considering where applicable infrastructure models, networking concepts, code templates and other supporting artefacts to progress platform capability.

In this role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Contributing to the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas.
  • Managing the innovation pipeline and executing innovation processes.
  • Providing detailed and specific advice regarding the application of your specialist area to the organisation's planning and operations.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Technical Architecture experience including understanding of architecture standards and methodologies. TOGAF Certification will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to analyse solutions across technical boundaries.
  • Broad knowledge of system capabilities across multiple platforms.
  • Experience working in and using tools that promote a highly collaborative environment where transparency, visibility and continuous improvement is the norm.
  • Technical skills:
  • Essential: Cisco Meraki, Cisco, AWS Networking, AWS Technologies particularly AWS Connect
  • Preferred: Exposure to cross Hyperscaler networking, Megaport

Your highly developed interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong customer focus will be key to this role.
